DIGITAL ACCELEROMETER - UNIAXIAL SERIES

Priced from $1,035 USD

Summit Instruments is proud to offer the only truly Digital Accelerometer on the market with User Configurable g Range and Bandwidth. Our Digital Accelerometer comes with everything you need to begin taking measurements within minutes of removing it from the box. And like all Summit Instruments' sensors, a three-year warranty is standard.

Signals are digitized internally via 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (A/D), so the output is a real digital signal, which can be interpreted by a computer, not a pulse modulated code.

User Configurable g Range and Bandwidth
The digital RS-485 interface makes it easy to change the sensor's range, bandwidth, and serial communications with your PC using our ICU Instrument Configuration Utility Windows-based software.

RS-485 Serial and Analog Outputs
Data is sampled simultaneously on all channels to avoid skewing at up to 42,500 samples/sec/channel. The digital data output rate can be streamed at rates up to 3 Mbit/second. An RS-485 to RS-232 Adapter is available.

High Accuracy and Linearity
Our Digital Accelerometers use MEMS technology to measure acceleration from ±1g to ±100g in one, two, or three axes. They have been tested to operate in the -40°C to +85°C range, and the internal temperature sensor can be used to adjust for residual temperature effects in critical applications.

Built-in Calibration and Self-Test
Calibration data for our Digital Accelerometer is stored in the sensor's non-volatile memory so you'll never have to worry about misplacing a calibration certificate. A built-in self-test helps verify channel integrity and wiring connections.

Rugged Aluminum Housing
Summit Instruments' Digital Accelerometer is manufactured in a rugged aluminum housing designed to withstand shock of up to 1000 g, making this sensor ideal for most environments.

Digital and Analog Output
In addition to digital output, analog output signals are also available for easy integration into existing data acquisition systems.

Built-in Voltage Regulation
Unregulated power from +8.5 to +36 volts is all that is required to measure acceleration on all axes. Our Digital Accelerometers survive both continuous reverse battery voltages to -20V and load dump transients to +60V.

Hi G Accelerometers Termination Options
Standard termination includes a 4-foot cable with 9-pin male D-subminiature connector (shown above). A terminal block is optionally available. Digital Accelerometer Data Sheets
