Ultimate Flexibility
Digital Accelerometers from Summit Instruments provide something other accelerometers don't - configurability. You can easily change the configuration of these sensors by connecting them to your PC. The g range, bandwidth, and data output can all be set-up exactly as needed for one application, and then changed for the next application. Digital Accelerometers are ideal for applications where the parameters are constantly changing or unknown. Analog output signals are also available for easy integration to existing data acquisition systems. Our Digital Accelerometers are available in triaxial, biaxial, and uniaxial models.

All-in-One Measurement
Signals are digitized internally via 16-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converters, so the output is a true digital signal that can be directly input to your computer via RS-485 or RS-232. We do not simply give you a pulse modulated code stream that requires additional data acquisition equipment or processing. Each channel is sampled simultaneously to avoid data skewing and an internal temperature sensor allows for more sophisticated temperature corrections. With sampling speeds up to 42,500 samples/sec/channel, our Digital Accelerometers meet the speed requirements of most applications.

Easy-to-Use
Our Digital Accelerometers based on MEMS technology can be connected to a larger measurement system or used as a stand-alone instrument. The pre-configured nature of our sensors means that within minutes of removing the sensor from the box you can be taking measurements. Powerful and flexible software for configuration is available free for download at our web site. By ordering the Digital Accelerometer System Kit, you receive all the PC interfacing components necessary to immediately begin collecting data.
